lower tiers opinions?????

phi sig seems like really sweet and nice girls. def not top but up and coming for sure. adpi seems super chill and fun. they both had cute bid day themes. what do yall think?

GPhi might not be the top sorority at JMU, but it’s a top sorority nationally and if you can get over these stupid rankings it’s a great place to meet people. And I happen to know that after you graduate, if it’s on your resume, you’ll run across sisters when looking for jobs and it helps to have that experience. Clearly most girls in GPhi don’t care what others think about the ranking of their sorority. Also, what even is it based on? It can’t be looks!

phi sig and adpi both have strong sisterhoods, and phi sig had a decent looking pc last year. not the cutest girls on campus but better looking girls recently and they actually like each other

How is it based on looks? The girls in some of these "top" sororities are average at best and some are very overweight. How do they get a pass for these girls, but the "lower" sororities don't?

it’s largely based on looks. There might be a good amount of average looking girls in top sororities but a lot of them are good at make up/fashionable or rich and can afford to give that appearance. It’s also long standing social status- a lot of the top and upper middle sororities have been on campus long enough to not only connections with frats, but also have lots of houses of their own in forest/manor/downtown to use for pregames

So basically you’re saying every one of these sororities can have awesome girls but it doesn’t matter because they’re new and don’t have the street cred some of the older ones have?!?! Which is so stupid. And shows these rankings don’t matter at all. And the way the boys talk to women and one another in general it sounds like the “lower” sororities are better off not mixing with these people.

Sororities can move up if they consistently recruit awesome girls, it just takes years to match up to sororities that have been around for decades
