Please tell me the truth

Got my houses back and I heard asa can’t have social events until 2025 and ast until next year…please someone tell me the truth bc I have some big decisions to make

People might try to tell you they’ll have events regardless of their probation but if sororities get caught breaking probation they’re at risk of being kicked off campus. Tri sig is still lying pretty low after they were in trouble a few years back

I don’t know about the current status because ASA’s probation is with their nationals but ASA was on probation 2 years ago with JMU and they couldn’t do much and had to be very careful. I think this time around is even worse b/c it’s a national level. Regarding ast, their probation is with the school and I think that after what happened with all of the frats last year and Greek life almost being shut down by JMU, I think probation will be watched very carefully and strictly enforced.
Honestly, there are plenty of sororities. If you have other options, pick one of them and you don’t have to worry.

ASA won't have any socials this year, unless they decide to break the rules and get kicked go off campus, then you'll be paying money for nothing and be forced to drop.

any sorority can go on probation at any moment! pick the sorority based on your connections with them, because you never know what can happen😁

If Asa isn’t in trouble w jmu they can’t get kicked off campus for social events 😭

asa and ast both probably won’t be able to have official socials including mixers date functions and formals. HOWEVER this doesn’t mean that you won’t be able to hang out w ur new sisters and go out with them just nothing official. If you feel strongly about either i’d say go for it. But also once ur on probation if you get another strike it’ll be even worse. so if they continue to do things and get caught (which is likely bc people hate asa and will report social media posts and stuff like threat) it’ll be even worse. in the past sororities haven’t even been able to hang out in larger groups

Love how girls in sk posted pictures obviously drinking on bid day when 2 chapters are already in trouble. Goes to show that some chapters get away with more than others
