preference day question
by: pnm!how does preference work with which houses you get? do sororities make their lists and then the system matches them with girls ranks? or could a sorority be influenced if they know a girl but them as their number one? also who thinks that the email about greek rank is just going to bring more people here

It’s mainly based on what you rank first. Every chapter has 2 lists after pref an A and a B list. If you are on your #1’s A list then it’ll match you to that but if you aren’t and you are on #2’s A list then it’s a match. If not the process tries again to match to the B list of 1 then 2. If you aren’t listed before the chapters reach quota you become a “quota addition” to make sure all pnm’s that maximized their options get matched. Pretty sure if you suicide pref you can only get an A list match

yes this is how it works for all chapters. A list is matched up with pnms first pick, if that doesn’t match up A list and pnms second pick is matched up, and from there B list and 2nd pick gets matched up. The point is to make sure every pnm gets a bid and suiciding decreases your chances of getting a bid in general by a lot.

ohhhh okay okay so that’s how it is for pref round, then how does ranking work after sisterhood round? do all chapters know your top two and decide accordingly or?

Its not really as much if you put them as your top 2 its more if ur on either of their lists cuz they only have a certain number of girls they can bring into pref. If you aren’t on their lists for girls coming back you will be dropped. The only way you could come back if you were dropped is if girls from their list don’t come back they go down the list of who falls next based on how you were ranked each round. Its all about scores and how high you were ranked throughout the rounds. So if you make it to pref night you know they want you because it is not really based as much around what the pnm wants but what the sorority wants.

most chapters finish scoring pnms after sisterhood so pref really comes down to what you want! No one knows who you ranked and the system tries to make it as mutual as possible

told all pnms to get off greek rank because there’s been a flooding of posts that are fake and no chapters are on probation

could you expand on this more? does every sorority do it this way? do the two houses i preffed know that i preffed them
