unc was in school for 8 days and are already shutting down dorms and going online. At this rate, jmu is gonna shut down before classes even start. Just because you have an off campus apartment doesn’t mean people aren’t going to get sent home. You’re literally ruining the freshmen’s chance of an in person college experience before they even arrive.

by going out and then showing up to classes in a week you are putting your professors, their families, and all of the residents in harrisonburg at risk for an outbreak that may not directly kill you, will put them at risk for death. it sucks that y’all feel your social life has to come before the health of an entire city. you don’t know what underlying health problems your neighbors have. Sounds like it might be time to get a new hobby because partying isn’t a personality bud.

If you host a party it doesn’t matter if you wear a mask or not because people will touch every high contact surface without sanitizing their hands. Then when people leave the party, goto the bathroom or drink they touch their mask to take it off. Plus people reuse masks, it’s either full send or no partying at all.

The only people here are sophomores and upperclassmen, freshmen aren’t even here yet. JMU has no control over what goes on away from campus. No one can “send us home” lol
