who’s dues are the most expensive
by: XWhich sororities are the cheapest and which are the most expensive
#5by: Um
Expensive dues just mean you don’t have to pay for things like recruitment/philanthropy shirts every time or you don’t have to pay to participate in another chapter’s events or you don’t have to pay to bring a date to a date function. Like some chapters like ast or asa have cheap dues but members never do anything on campus because their dues don’t cover other philanthropy events

As someone in a sorority that has the more expensive dues, it is a lot to pay up front but the benefit comes when you sign up for other organizations’ events. Those are usually free (because your Panhellenic rep will pay) and sometimes you can get T-shirt’s out of those events. There are plenty of different events throughout the year, and I personally like being able to sign up for as many as I want without worrying. Additionally, if your own organization hosts events, you don’t have to pay to attend (such as date functions and philanthropy events) or pay for individual clothing (like for Greek sing). As far as I know, most sororities here are capped by $1000 per year at the most and many of them are less than that. If you live in your sorority house that usually decreases your dues by a little bit as well.
