by: my guyto girls going thru recruitment in the fall, PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD do not make a list based on this website. I stupidly went in thinking I knew who I did/didn't want and ended up in a sorority not even on my original list and I'm very happy there now. I bet there are plenty of girls who found their homes somewhere they weren't expecting. Basically just go in with an open mind and see if you have natural conversations with members and like the philanthropies. Four years is too much time to be wasting in a sorority you don't 100% love just for clout or letters. This site is a lot of bs and hate/self-ranks and all that matters is that you can see yourself fitting in and finding friends there. Good luck!

Yep- 100% agree. I actually ranked based on this site and reputations around campus. Got to the open houses and didn't feel like a lot of the girls in the popular sororities were even listening to me or looking at me. But still wanted to be in them. Not sure why. I am very happy where I am now.

When I rushed, this girl I know from high school who had a brother in a top frat at jmu already knew that sk and asa were top at jmu and was super adamant about getting them and talked about it nonstop and then she got dropped by them FIRST ROUND and ended up getting phi mu and dropping because of this site then badgered some of my friends who actually got sk and asa bids to "look out for her next recruitment" only for her to get dropped first round all over again

Even worse is that the girl is still out here at parties saying things like "everyone says they think I'm in asa!" to impress guys and the moral of this story is if you're stuck in some dumb mindset that you want to be in a top sorority, you'll miss out on a good sisterhood, and then just look stupid if you're on the outside looking in

The amount of geeds that say that people think they’re in xyz sorority to impress guys is so annoying lmao there is a reason why they’re not and it’s because everyone can see they want to be in a sorority for the wrong reasons

Girls rarely do better the second time through recruitment in fact they usually do much worse, so think about that when your thinking about dropping out of recruitment.

you can change a lot freshmen year, I rushed better my second time. also went in with a better attitude

You can only rush better the second time if your college gpa is above a 3.5 which is by no means easy

Some do but lots of middle tier sororities (zta, theta, phi mu) drop first round based on a higher gpa than other sororities and top tends to be selective about people who aren’t freshman so it definitely would be hard to do better the second time if you’re being dropped first round by a lot of people

my second time I rushed with a 2.9 and got a mid sorority that was in my top 3 all week. not impossible but not sure how easy it is now
