gpa for sophomore

What are the chances I'll get dropped from formal recruitment if i have a 2.5-2.6? Deciding if it's even worth going through the process.

You’ll probably get dropped from most of your favorite houses, but you won’t get dropped from recruitment altogether. If every sorority had a gpa requirement above a 2.5, Panhel wouldn’t allow those with a 2.5 to rush.

I rushed with a 2.5 and got dropped first round by everyone except adpi, sk, ast, phi sig, and dg and then phi sig and adpi dropped me 2nd round lol

Most sororities drop sophomores who have less than a 2.8. If not first round, they may cut later for someone with a higher gpa.

Honestly I think it’s better to try anyway since you won’t know till you actually do it. If you only have one specific sorority in mind then i would say no since you have too much riding on that and it does hurt your ego a little every time a sorority drops you. But if you’re open minded then even if some drop you because of your gpa others might not and you could potentially end up somewhere you really love. Registration is only about $60 so if you want to do it all you really have to lose is a little money and 2 weekends of your time. Why not?
