Every sorority at jmu is amazing. Tiers really just a way to generalize 200+ girls in a superficial way. The only people who care about tiers are 1) people who haven't grown out of a high school clique mentality and 2) people who aren't even in a greek organization at all. At jmu each sorority has amazing girls. It's not "social suicide" to join an organization just people some group of one dimensional idiots decided it's "bottom". Each organization has pretty girls. Each organization has social events. Each organization has girls who go out a lot, girls who stay in a lot, and girls who balance the two. The fraternities each sorority mixes with changes each year for the most part and the fraternities THEMSELVES change each year for the most part. A guy won't turn you down ever based on what greek org you're in if he really likes you. Girls get into any open party at JMU (and even some closed ones if you know someone). So literally do not choose your greek org based on what you think their social life is like or what people say they are like. It is your decision. You're the one paying the dues. Find your place.
