Tiers aren't in order because they're all interchangeable!! Also there's no such thing as "lower middle tier, upper bottom tier" there's 3 tiers and that's it. Every sorority at JMU is great and as a PNM you'd be lucky to be in any one of them!
TOP:
ASA, SK, ZTA, Tri Delt, Tri Sig
Description: ASA and SK are more of the "party girls" whereas ZTA and Tri Delt are more the "wholesome girls". Tri sig has a lot of party girls too but they had a bad recruitment recently so it's kind of a mix of girls. ALL GREAT SORORITIES!
MIDDLE:
Alpha Phi, Theta, Phi Mu
All have really pretty and nice girls! Still have great mixers and are super involved! ALL GREAT SORORITIES!
BOTTOM:
AST, ADPi, Gamma Phi, DG
All have really sweet and pretty girls!! AST parties a lot whereas the other sororities are more wholesome but still party! They all have really great philanthropies! ALL GREAT SORORITIES!!!

People say there's "lower middle" and "upper bottom" and whatever else because all the top, middle, and bottom sororities aren't on the same level.
Tri Sig isn't on the same level as the rest of the top, Aphi is above Phi Mu and Theta, AST is right below Phi Mu and Theta but above ADPi and Gphi, and ADPi and Gphi are above DG.
But still agree all the sororities are great and they all have great girls!!!! GO GREEK!!!!

Yeah tri sig is just below the rest of the top tier. Aphi is better than both phi mu and theta by a good amount, phi mu is however getting better while theta is staying the same. Also I think ast isn't right below phi mu and theta, but they're definitely better than adpi and gphi, and have been improving as well as adpi.

Tri Sig is below the rest of the top by a very very small gap. I think the middle tier should be in an order aphi is better than phi mu and phi mu is better than theta but there's are also all small gaps, none of them are drastically different then the others. However, AST is much lower than the entire middle tier and I wouldn't say they are much better than ADPi.
