not being white

Im going to be new to JMU this fall and Im not fulll white, but from what I've seen no one really besides DG seems to have girls that dont all look 100% white. Should I be concerned about not getting into a higher ranked sorority because of that?

sororities are not very diverse because JMU is mostly white and most of the girls rushing are also white. However, I highly doubt a girl would think less of you for your race! or at least i would hope not. You should definitely rush and give it a try.

Actually, I think being of a different race during rush HELPS girls. A lot of sororities aim to increase their diversity, so if anything they will want you even more than the average 1000s of white girls JMU has

Don't listen to the person above. A lot of the sororities here have women of all different races, it's just a matter of how many. I know SK, ADPi, Gamma Phi, and Tri Sig have a fair amount of diversity!

Actually the top sororities, sk zeta trisig and asa, have a lot more diversity from what i have seen compared to the lower tier sororities. So actually the higher tiers seem to look for more diverse girls
