People need to lay off of bashing pi phi. I'm not even in pi phi but I'm kind of really tired of seeing the same posts saying the same things just so people can feel better about themselves. Yeah rush is coming up and its competitive or whatever but you do realize making negative reviews about other sororities doesn't actually make yours any better right? I have quite a few friends in pi phi and they all love it. They're genuinely some of the kindest people I've met and they're smart, funny, and passionate. You can't paint girls (from any sorority, including the ones hating) with a wide brush stroke and pi phi is no different.

I think arguably pi phi has the most genuine girls. Yes, not all of them are best friends, but they are kind and there is truly sincere friendship among the chapter, which can’t be said about a lot of other sororitys. Most of the girls are down to earth, sweet, and friendly. They don’t care much about “social status” but they are a very fun group to hang with.

I’m sorry, but half of these girls are annoying and weird, and the other half are nasty and mean. There are a few cute girls, but almost all of them are problematic. They also tend to be bad with GPA and they have the least frat connections if that matters to you.

I know people will always be able to find something about each sorority to love that’s special. However, from what the people I know in Pi Phi say, it’s kind of a combination of the worst parts of each sorority. They say they don’t value looks/ image, but they really do, it’s just that they happen to be the least conventionally attractive group. This leads to members feeling insecure or undervalued if they aren’t part of the clique of 9 or 10 thin, rich, “pretty” girls. A lot of people don’t go out, but the ones that do have bad reputations for being messy. They don’t have great academic support like other orgs either.

Any rank on here that’s nice is probably a self rank. This is the sorority you get when you don’t get asked back to any of the other four. This isn’t even just about superficial things either, all around pi phi is the weakest organization out of all the sororities at Hopkins.

Couldn’t be further from the truth. Plenty of girls actually choose Pi Phi during recruitment. And it is superficial because the whole formal recruitment process is superficial due to the fact you can never truly get to know a girl based off of a 5 minute conversation.

It's no secret that Pi Phi was the only srat that filled it's 2020 pledge class straight out of rush. Aphi and Phi Mu preffed a bunch of girls who went Pi Phi last year. I hope that Aphi & Phi Mu members don't perceive this as an attack (they're also great orgs) I just want to challenge this perspective because Pi Phi isn't a back up srat. Even I got called back to 4 orgs on day 2 and I still ranked Pi Phi as my top based purely on my rush experience. I didn't even know ppl from pi phi before I was affiliated, but I genuinely liked the girls I met during sisterhood. My advice to potential new members: try to be open-minded about the women you meet and the organizations you interact with.

dropping pi phi was the best choice I could have made. There’s a reason so many people do it on bid day.

Pi Phi girls are so genuine and not fake. you can easily find a great friend there. those girls work so hard and they don’t deserve to be put down just because they’re not as popular

As a member of Pi Phi, I can honestly say that joining has made my experience at Hopkins so much better. I have met my best friends and could not be happier that I am a pi phi.

I see so much hate on here and it really just seems like people are trashing bc rush is coming up. Many of the girls are genuine, good friends of mine and I wish them, like all our other Greek women, best of luck in this coming recruitment!
