I dont agree thta Gamma Phi is a top house! I went through recruitment last year and felt the most liked houses were Pi Phi, Kappa, and Theta. Most everyone thought Chi o's were slightly weird but brainy and noone I talked to wanted anything to do with Gamma Phi. In the end I decided on a house that fit me best which was none of the above. All of the houses are great, just find where you feel most conmfortable.

Actually Gamma Phi is very much a top house. All the girls in my group loved them. I cried when I didn't get invited back. I love the house I'm in now, but I have lots of friends there. I guess everyone is different and I'm glad you are comfortable where you are.

if you're considering rushing, don't rely on this site. the rankings being true or untrue, is all a matter of opinion. you NEED to form your own opinions of each house through rush, to figure out which house is YOUR number one, and not somenoe elses. rush is such a great experience and don't let this site spoil it for you. every house has something great to offer!

I agree! However, the top houses will cut girls that don't have high gpa's. So even if they like one of the top 5 houses it doesn't matter if they don't have the grades.

True. The Kappas, Pi Phis, Gamma Phis, Thetas, and Chi Os will cut you if you don't have a 3.5. They may take a couple of lower ones, but expect to be cut if you don't have the grades. There are still SOOOOOO many wonderful girls, though, that all the houses get amazing classes. Please don't let stuff said on here make you drop out of rush because you were dropped by certain houses. Stick with it and you will find a wonderful group of life-long friends.

what happened to all the rankings?

When I went through recruitment last fall Kappa and Gamma Phi were the most popular. Then Pi Phi and Chi Omega. I am not in one of these houses but this is really the truth. I have been at OSU for a year now and they are all considered top houses. With that said, I want every PNM to know that all the houses have great things to offer and have great girls. I am very happy and I'm not in a top house. I have made life long friends and have had a blast. I love my house and you will too. I promise!

Okay.. I am considered a "bottom house" on this site and I'm not a Kappa Delta but how can everyone say that KD is not a top house?! They placed top 4 in grades, 2009-2010 they placed 1st in 2 shows and 3rd in another, 2010-2011 they placed in every show again! Oh.. and they won BEST HOUSE ON CAMPUS!! I have many MANY friends in KD and I am not okay with everyone thinking they are middle rank.. because that is not true! It is sad to see that all of these rankings are based off of recruitment instead of what actually goes on during the year. Those "top 5" houses are only considered that for recruitment because they cheat and break rules! Sorry that my house and KD are much more classy than that! Oh and future PNM's.. GPhi rents out furniture for recruitment.. it's not really there's so don't be impressed!! :)
