middle tier and bottom tier

Is there a big difference between the bottom of the middle and the top of the bottom?

I'd say there is a bigger jump from a houses like KA Pike ATO (bottom tier) to farmhouse, sigma chi, kappa sig and phi Delt (middle tier houses) than there is from SAE Sig ep (middle) to AGR and beta (top)

Big jump from the bottom tier houses to the middle tier. Middle tier houses are pretty much houses that compete in everything and don't win. Bottom houses don't even compete in a lot of things (KA, Delt, Phi Tau)
