Chi Omega - ΧΩ Sorority at Western Kentucky University - WKU 2.5 I would highly recommend searching on Youtube: Against The Grain Bobby and Natalie This talks about the struggles of an age gap relationship and is super helpful for anyone going through this! Just trying to get the word out about my favorite vlog and since Natalie is a Chi O, I though this would be a good place to do it!

Chi Omega - ΧΩ Sorority at Western Kentucky University - WKU 2.7 I put that they’re middle tier because they give out bids based on looks. Their nationals preaches morals but also pressures chapters to only take attractive girls. My older sister was a Chi O and didn’t want me being a legacy which really says something to me

Chi Omega - ΧΩ Sorority at Western Kentucky University - WKU 1.7 MEAN GIRLS. Don’t befriend one, don’t date one, don’t trust one. If they stab each other’s backs, they’ll def stab yours if your not a chi o.

Chi Omega - ΧΩ Sorority at Western Kentucky University - WKU 2.4 I’ve never had a great time with any one personally in chi o but that’s just my opinion... I think that people are fake to other people in it which is sad.

Chi Omega - ΧΩ Sorority at Western Kentucky University - WKU 4.0 I’m a legacy and didn’t get in. I felt like I was promised a bid basically because of how girls talked to me. They said things like they really hoped to see me on bid day, that my mom and I must have had a really good connection and that’s important in Chi O, and other things. I felt important. I made it to pref and they were my first choice. I don’t know what happened, but I’m happy in the place I am now. It makes me question what motivated them to not give me a bid though after making me feel like a million bucks all through rush. Was I not pretty enough? Not smart enough? Not Christian enough? Not athletic enough? It was a blow to my self-esteem and a blow to my mom, honestly. Rumor has it that I didn’t get a bid for “personnel reasons” which I guess means standards, but I had a 3.9 GPA with a lot of experience, I played one sport in high school, and I’ve never been in actual trouble other than a speeding ticket. I don’t drink, I don’t have a boyfriend, and my mom watches my social media and tells me what isn’t “womanly”. Middle finger to whoever decided to give out bids.

Chi Omega - ΧΩ Sorority at Western Kentucky University - WKU 3.4 I heard from one of my roommates that there is lots of drama. Not girl drama like WIERD drama. She said one girl got scared walking in the house at like 2 am, left and brought back a guy with a gun ... it turned out to be another girl that lived in the house.... so strange.

Chi Omega - ΧΩ Sorority at Western Kentucky University - WKU 5.0 I’ve been asked back every day during this years recruitment and I’m honestly so excited. Everyone seems to gravitate towards them and want to join Chi Omega. I wasn’t sure when I first went through but they seem super genuine and authentic. They make having a conversation relaxing. Really hope I’m a “hooty” by the end of recruitment.

Chi Omega - ΧΩ Sorority at Western Kentucky University - WKU 3.2 Talked to them and wasn’t as impressed as I thought I’d be. The girls didn’t seem interested in what I had to say and I’m not sure if it’s the virtual recruitment format this year or what but one girl I talked to seemed really rigid and tense and I didn’t know how to act. Just smiled and tried polite conversation with her. Maybe she was nervous? I don’t know. It was awkward for me as someone who is pretty talkative. The girls didn’t seem like they liked each other much and maybe that’s them being formal, maybe that’s their actual attitude idk I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt and hopefully if I talk to them again the convo will be better

Chi Omega - ΧΩ Sorority at Western Kentucky University - WKU 2.7 My bio twin sister is freaking out about virtual recruitment so I am giving an unbiased perspective on each sorority since I’m guessing a lot of the PNMs will come to this website. Chi O is definitely top tier, and I owe that to the fact that their girls are attractive and like to party. They have some really smart girls in their house, but every sorority does. They don’t seem to hang out with girls outside of Chi O much. One thing that doesn’t seem fair to me is that they aren’t initiated until a semester of being in the sisterhood. Then they want you to live in Chi O housing for (I think) two years. That’s INSANE. There is no reason that a pledge period should take an entire semester to prove yourself worthy. Recruitment and new member activities are enough for that. There’s also the issue of housing, which I know is not appealing to most people. In my eyes, as a guy, they are the most stereotypical sorority there is. And those stereotypes aren’t always good. I don’t want to personally attack anyone on here, but a lot of their girls are only friends with each other because they’re all pretty, and their behavior towards men with girlfriends can be completely astounding. Men are usually the thirsty ones, not the women. Their philanthropy events are usually pretty decent, but they act as if their philanthropy is more important than anyone else’s on campus. Is Make A Wish a good philanthropy? Yes. But so is Ronald McDonald house, and if we had tridelt at WKU, their philanthropy is an entire hospital that is known worldwide. Bottom line: philanthropy doesn’t make a sorority what it is. Their sisterhood does. If you’re an instagram influencer or have ever had plastic surgery/botox/fillers, Chi O is for you. My sister thought she needed to get lip fillers before she went through recruitment because she was SO worried about being attractive enough, and our family was like haha no, we’re not paying for you to look fake just so you can join a sorority. Be yourself.
