do letters of recommendation help at all?

Depends. My sorority we def keep them in mind and usually keep them around until round 2 since an alumna clearly took time to write the letter so it’s out of courtesy for our alums we do that. But not everyone does. Very few girls go through rush with recs. We had like 2 girls all last year with recs to my chapter.

Completely depends on the chapter. If you know someone well that wants to write you one you should have them do it but it’s absolutely not necessary to get them for every chapter here

Ok people definitely do but they’re not required. My chapter looks at them so 🤷🏻‍♀️
