@DUH, Calm down that was way too aggressive of a response.....maybe you should grow up before responding to people looking for a little advice.
To the OP, I think their informal rush is over now so spring may be your only option unless tridelt is low key still accepting girls after their informal bid day.
So you already have friends in it, how do they like it? What do they say about their experience so far? Try talking to them instead of anonymous people on the internet who don’t have your best interests in mind. If they’re good friends they can be honest with you about it.
Secondly, what is “good” to you? Does a good sorority volunteer a lot or raise a lot of money? Does a good chapter have a close sisterhood and is not cliquey? Is a good chapter one that has girls that go out 5 nights a week or one that has girls who are a little more chill? Is a good chapter just “hot”? Is a good chapter the one the boys who joined fraternities tell you are good? Guess what, any of the chapters here check all of those boxes here. Every chapter is made up of 100+ women. Some of them will want to go out every night some of them won’t. Some will be Instagram models and some of them won’t. Some of them will get good grades and wanna be doctors or whatever and some will change their major 8 times and struggle with school. Some will be outgoing and BFFs with everyone in the chapter and some will still be introverts despite joining a sorority. So yes I’d say tridelt is “good” because all of our chapters are good here at UD. There aren’t no overall totally underachieving chapters here. Some are better at different aspects than others and that’s ok.
Also, just because you have friends in it doesn’t mean you’d be garunteed a bid. That’s the worst mentality to go into rush with might even be worse than a tier mentality. A girl in my rush group was a sophomore and she loved gamma phi and was convinced she’d get a bid there because all her roommates were gamma phi’s. Well...pref round she did not have them as an invite and bid day she declined whoever she got a bid from (even though they obviously wanted her to be a part of their chapter) and never joined a sorority at all and I’m pretty sure it ruined her friendship with her roommates.
Another point to keep in mind, when you go through formal rush in the spring, you will meet all the chapters. You may find you totally love phi sig or DG or ChiO and end up there. Or you may end up in a chapter you never thought you’d be in and wasn’t even on your radar.
So TL;DR, no one here can tell you what to do. Get out there and meet some tridelts and while you’re at it maybe meet the other chapters too. Open houses are soon so go check everyone out!!!
