Vandy rush versus Bama

I know that rushing at Vanderbilt is not the same as rushing at Alabama but I was wondering if there are specific similarities or things that are starkly different. Are they like comparing apples to oranges or apples to elephants? Do the sororities at Vandy want to be like the ones at Alabama or do they recognize that it’s just completely different? Do I need things like a rush bag or a whole rush wardrobe or is it more casual and laidback? Also, will they be dancing at me like that because I’m not sure I would be feeling that. I like many of the aspects of joining a sorority but i would not enjoy the over the top aspects I see at Alabama. Honestly, I feel like Vanderbilt students should be too smart and self-respecting to buy into it…not to mention too busy with school and other commitments.
