Why is it that only one sorority puts a minimal gpa requirement for the first cut of rush? Do people not realize that not everyone takes equal caliber classes? Like they were going to do a gpa oriented housing lottery a few years back, and realized that was unfair to those in the sciences. So why should this be allowed?

Why is none of this discussed when you visit the school before you commit?

to go through rush you have to have a 2.5, specific sororities can have higher gpa’s depending on nationals or the chapter but to even go through rush at all there is a minimum gpa

All sororities have a minimum gpa. But Bucknell also has a minimum gpa to allow potential new members to rush. For most sororities the Bucknell min gpa is higher/the same as their min gpa.
