For well over 100 years cultural interest sororities have strengthened the sisterhood between girls from all different ethnic backgrounds. These are some of the most open and accepting Greek organizations found on our campuses. Let’s take a look at ten of the best of the cultural sororities across our great nation.


Kappa Phi Lambda

Founded in 1995, KPL is one of the of the fastest expanding Asian-American interest sororities in the United States. The members pride themselves on an emphasis on service and commitment to giving back to its members' communities

alpha Kappa Delta Phi The Phoenixes are part of the largest Asian-American interest sorority in the United States. With over 50 chapters nationwide, Alpha Kappa Delta Phi has all hands on deck working toward its national philanthropy, the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade. 

Kappa Phi Gamma KPhiG is a South Asian sorority built around 8 principles: Character, Leadership, Scholarship, Sisterhood, Service, Womanhood, Culture, and Self. The sisterhood shines the most during national C.A.R.E. Week as they work tirelessly to raise awareness for cancer.
 
Alpha Kappa Alpha ΑΚΑ was the first Greek-lettered sorority established and incorporated by African-American college women. Since 1908, this super strong sisterhood has grown to over 283,000 women in 992 chapters in the United States and several other countries.
 
Alpha Epsilon Phi  The mission of Alpha Epsilon Phi Sorority is "to inspire and support exemplary women dedicated to friendship and a lifelong commitment to Alpha Epsilon Phi while building on the vision of its Jewish founders. The sisterhood was founded in 1909 at a time when not all sororities allowed Jewish women to join organizations.

Lambda Theta Alpha LTA is a Latin sorority that stresses social justice and activism. The sisterhood pledged to raise awareness about childhood cancer and St. Jude in the Latin community, as well as fundraise for the hospital through a variety of events and programs.

Theta Nu Xi The “butterflies” are a historically multicultural sorority founded in 1997 by seven women who sought to bridge cultural gaps. The sisterhood was the first multicultural sorority to launch a functional Graduate, Alumnae and Professional (GAP) program.

Delta Sigma Theta Currently, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority is the largest African-American Greek-lettered organization. The first public act of the “Divas” was the Women's Suffrage March in Washington D.C., March 3, 1913.

Alpha Pi Omega Alpha Pi Omega is the oldest and largest historically American Indian sorority. With more than 100 tribes represented, the sorority has more than 600 sisters nationwide. 

Delta Phi Omega This South Asian-interest organization is represented by their mascot, the Bengal Tiger. DPO is the largest, strongest, and fastest-growing South Asian interest-based sorority in the nation.
