Gameday Sorority Girls

With college football season in full swing, weekends are always a big deal on campus. From the hours of preparation to the tailgates by the stadium, game day is no joke. How and when you start your day depends on when kick off is. The more time to get ready, the better. Follow this sorority girl game day schedule and you’ll be prepared for the day that we look forward to every week.

You wake up to the best day of the week.
Beware when looking into a mirror; you may not have washed all that makeup off from when you went out last night. Hopefully you’re feeling good because, obviously, it’s game day. Splash your face with some cold water and prepare for the hectic day ahead.

Eat a hearty breakfast.
Eggs, pancakes, bacon, sausage…. Lord knows you’re going to need it.

Run around digging through all of your sister’s closets for the perfect outfit.
By now, you’ve probably run out of things to wear. If not, chances are you are just like every other girl and hate everything in your closet (for no apparent reason, of course). Have no fear – there are 200+ girls waiting to help you out. Whether its classy or comfy, make sure you’re sporting your school’s official colors.

It’s time to make your way to the pre-game festivities.
Whether it’s to fraternity row or a casual tailgate, don’t be late - you never know what you are going to miss. Have fun and relax… this is just the beginning.

Spend A LOT of time finding your friends and losing them again.
It’s always exciting to run into a group of sisters while tailgating. You promise each other that you’ll stick together the rest of the day and walk to the stadium arm-in-arm… then five seconds later you turn around and they’ve all disappeared. Classic.

Eat all the food at the tailgate.
The calories will definitely be worth it. Don’t feel bad scarfing down two full plates of wings, burgers, fries and a hot dog (or two). Pride yourself in knowing that you are eating the most but still looking fabulous in your dress with your game day pin.

Play the mom role and wrangle your friends together – but good luck finding everyone.
There’s always that one girl that plays Bo Peep and is tasked with getting all her friends together before heading out to the game. Some gals may be yelling for their friends, while others can be found carelessly wandering around the tailgate. Keep your cool though, mom.

It’s GAME TIME!
With your squad of sisters, it’s time to head to the game. Have your tickets and ID ready, but be prepared to catch up to the thousands of students heading to the same exact place. You won’t know why, but you’ll most likely try to push through every sweaty body in the mosh pit of a line in order to get into the game first.

Attempt to find where your seats are…
Whether it’s in a sorority block or just group seating with your friends, good luck trying to weasel your way through the overflowing crowd of people. Once you get there, make sure to get the classic “I’m looking away from the camera and throwing up my sorority sign towards the field” picture – it’s always a good one.

Scream for your team like nobody is watching.
Sundays exist as recovery days – losing your voice is just an indication that you did game day right.
Win or lose, you WILL be persuaded to go out after the game.
Game day is never over. Take a nap, freshen up and head back out to make new memories and potentially regrettable decisions.

No matter whom you’re playing, each game day should be one to remember. For a sorority girl, the possibilities are endless and the best game days are the ones that never end.
