Report a School Review

If deemed necessary, reported reviews will be removed within 7 - 10 days but usually sooner. Please submit this report ONLY if you STRONGLY believe this needs to be removed. Multiple illegitimate reports slow down the administrative process of removing the actual and more seriously unfavorable content.

I am actually surprised to find MC on this website because MC doesn't have sororities and fraternities. They have Tribes and Clubs, which are basically sororities and fraternities but they're not a part of the greek system. There are five Tribes: Kissimee, Laguna, Nenamoosha, Swannanoa, and Chenoa, and five Clubs: Civitan, Shawreth, Kokoa, Rotaract, and Decerto. Mississippi College is a small university, so the tribes and clubs probably have around 100-150 actives, depending. They don't have houses, but they meet on campus weekly. There is a recruitment and rush/pledging process that takes place in the fall semester just like any sorority or fraternity. The recruitment process is really inclusive. It's a mutual selection process, so if you make it known what club/tribe you're interested in, they want you back. They have strict rules about hazing that are respected. Generally, the people who are in Clubs and Tribes are the people who are involved in all the other on campus activities. The social scene within the Clubs and Tribes isn't too shabby. They all have formal/informal and a good amount of swaps and socials that everyone usually enjoys. Each Club and Tribe has their stereotype that changes through the years, but they all generally have great people that have a good time with each other. Clubs and Tribes are a great way to get a "greek experience" without the craziness of actual greek life.
