Comment:  This chapter, I have to admit, left me feeling more unsettled than intrigued. The characters—Chum in particular—come across as jarringly off-putting; their presence feels like an unwelcome interruption rather than an organic part of the story. What truly compounds the discomfort is how they navigate (or, rather, fail to navigate) social interactions with female characters. Every exchange is peppered with awkward pauses, stilted dialogue, and a palpable lack of empathy or respect, as though they’ve stepped onto the page without any understanding of nuance or basic courtesy
