Barring any previously agreed-upon return date between SK and NIU for this SK chapter, the national SK board may prefer to keep their chapter off of campus for at least five+ years. That time frame seems to be a national standard of cooling-off period for any sorority chapter that leaves a campus. By the end of five years most everyone associated with the old chapter, or people who even knew of its previous rep, have graduated and a new colony can be more successfully formed (with the campus blessing, of course).
