As one of the girls that went inactive for mental health reasons, these posts are getting really upsetting. I went inactive for mental health reasons and so did two of my friends, but NONE of us were forced to make that decision. Nobody told us that we had to apply for inactivity because they didn't like us. Yes, I was bullied, but my two friends who also went inactive for mental health reasons were not. It really sucks when you're trying to take care of your mental health and then people screenshot these posts and send them to those of us that went inactive. It's fine to talk honestly about a chapter and their issues, but it's not okay to talk about things that happened to individual members (unless you are that member). A few months ago, people were posting about one of the girls and some of the extremely personal things that had happened to her (both in and outside of the chapter). She was devastated that her personal life was being aired all over the internet for anyone to see. I don't care if you think you're doing something good by "shedding light" on something that happened in the chapter, but it's never okay to talk about an individual member- even if you don't include their name. When you do that, you become one of the bullies except even worse because it's no longer happening in a private setting- it's happening in a public setting where anyone and everyone can see it. Please please stop.
