PNMs going through rush might have a tendency to do something dramatic to stand apart from the crowd, like the odd girl who for some reason couldn't walk like everyone else, but took her long board from house to house. My recommendation: don't do it. You want to stand apart for the right reasons (grades, honors, activities), not the wrong reasons. Resist the impulse to do something strange: and that includes making your own clothes and letting people know about it; doing odd things with makeup (hint: too much makeup runs on hot summer days and makes you look cheap)or introducing weird topics on conversation. Let your resume speak for itself and don't be a distraction. Just be normal and if we are interested we will find out more about you.
