Thanks for the PR release, but if you aren't asked back it is indeed personal. You said it yourself, the PNMs going through recruitment are ranked and there are any number of reasons a PNM doesn't wind up at the top -- most of them personal: mediocre grades, low ACTs, odd conversations, unrelatable circumstances. If they really wanted you back, you would be back. There are all kinds of people on this site going apoplectic over the word "cut." How stupid, because that's exactly what we do. You call it "ranking," but cutting is what it is. So let's be honest and save a few broken hearts. Recruitment is extremely competitive. Don't set your sites too high or, statistics show, you are sure to be disappointed. And let's stop insulting people who dare to talk about exactly what happens, because transparency is important. Stop lying to PNMs.
