In my experience and personal opinion, the top three houses on Jefferson are Kappa Sig, Delta Chi, and either Lambda Chi or ZBT. Compared to Pi Kapp, SX, and Pike, they're nothing to write home about. The latter three have more (and much larger) parties, swap with better sororities, and have a better campus involvement (SGA, IFC, Judicial Board). Now if you're feeling really good about any one house on Jefferson, then please go ahead and pledge them. Find what you want out of fraternity life. If you go Jefferson you may have less parties and a smaller pledge class, but that could also be a good thing. You'll probably be happy wherever you end up, so don't think making it at Theta Chi, Pike, or Sigma Chi is the end-all as an out of state kid.
