Every house has rules for their new members and every house is strict about these rules. My house gave us a binder but it was like 1 page of rules (which are pretty normal rules to keep the babies safe) and the rest was the history of our house and the history of our chapter. I will say this, my roommate freshman year was a phi mu and she did show me her binder which is literally of just 10 pages of rules + the social calendar. Some of them are pretty standard like no going upstairs in fraternity houses and that you have to drink out of cups at swaps... other rules are a little absurd and they definitely made it a point that "they are the best so they have to act like the best" and that "everyone wants to be them"
