You 100% need at least one rec for each of the chapters on our campus. More than 1 per chapter isn't necessary, but a lot of PNMs will have multiple rec letters. If you get more than 1, then they have to be written from different people. Rec letters for certain sororities have to be written by alumni that were in that particular sorority. Example - A Phi Mu alumni can't write you a recommendation for Kappa Kappa Gamma. She can only write you a recommendation for Phi Mu. Finding ladies to write you recommendations and getting all your packets together and to these ladies takes a lot of hard work, but it isn't impossible. You need to ask everyone in your family if they were in a sorority and if they weren't, then if they know someone who was. Then ask your neighbors, your teachers, your coaches, your friend's parents, ladies at your church, etc. You will find people. There are greeks all around you. If you do all of these things and are still in need of a few recs, then contact your local Panhellenic Alumni Association. To find one, just google "(your city) Panhellenic Alumni Association" and they probably have a website.
