facts and they did her SOOO dirty. the play by play for those unaware: - A senior with 6 WEEKS LEFT OF SCHOOL and some sisters got sent to standards and were not told why, & the meetings kept being postponed, advisors & eboard kept playing with them - she & those girls talked privately and did not like how they were being treated. So they decided to send an anon poll to the rest of their senior class bc they were overall upset with their specific eboard + how advisors were running the sorority - overall they felt that if you didn’t fit the mold of what a stereotypical Alpha Gam should be, you would be targeted by advisors and sent to standards over stupid or made up stuff - tho a group decision, one girl in particular created and sent out the survey to their chat - survey asked questions on how their chapter could improve. revealed that majority of seniors responded that they 1) REGRETTED joining Alpha gam over their other pref option and 2) were EMBARRASSED to tell guys they were alpha gams and embarrassed to invite them to date parties - survey rlly pissed off advisors - they called an emergency standards meeting where those old hags degraded her and told her that her survey was the most disrespectful thing anyone has ever done to a sorority e-board, ever - they put her on emergency member status. mind you this is usually reserved for ppl who would be forced to drop due to financial or personal hardship and are for members in good standing/members they don’t want to kick out. she was put on this status because they said she violated their handbook/bylaws? - parent’s weekend was that week and her parents were flying in from OOS to attend, had taken pto and booked a hotel. She and her parents were uninvited from all events and were not told until day of - new meeting was set to review her member status (along with 2 other members) but before the meeting even happened they already revoked her access to the house - she kept asking eboard what bylaw she had broken and they just ignored her. turns out they were SECRETLY updating the bylaws to be able to kick her out and did so before their scheduled meeting - so now she has retroactively violated their handbook/bylaws and membership was terminated they literally kicked out a senior with 6 weeks left which is SO unheard of, especially since she didn’t do anything bad or scandalous really. i don’t think anyone would’ve known ab the survey until they kicked her out and threatened her not to tell anyone lol. and she seems like such a typical sweet and smart Alpha Gam, i feel like they might have bullied her for being oos/oor bc she said a lot of times she did not “fit their mold” but she definitely seems like one?? beware of the super southern houses fr yall
