Honest answer, no hate. Do you even know anyone from Bama? Do you know anyone in any house, old or new? I know people in TX. While Dallas is ok, it’s really not that impressive tbh (not to be rude, just honest - as far as shopping, restaurants, etc. I truly expected more when I last visited). Houston is quite nice. I have many friends there and know plenty of other Bama girls from camp with the same connections. Theta is not great here, but awesome at Maryland and Illinois (my other choices and I talked to girls there in that house). I personally loved Kappa at every school I visited. It’s Old Row here. Pi Phi won my heart, even though it’s not OR and I loved it at ASU (yes, I strongly considered ASU and USC). My grandmother was an A Phi at Michigan (family from Illinois and California, but I lived in Houston and Huntsville because… well… NASA). A Phi is new to Bama but rising fast. Not my vibe here, but I liked it at Maryland, USC, and ASU. Michigan wasn’t for me so I can’t speak to that chapter. It’s great at Illinois as well. I have camp friends from NC and TX, as do other Bama girls and we can easily hold our own. Our families summer in similar places and have beach condos as well as go skiing in CO. Whoever said Bama girls couldn’t get in to a sorority in Boulder… sorry, but that nearly made me spit out my drink from laughing. I will say that my TX friends are exceptional cheerleaders and I wish we had the gyms and resources that Houston has! Everyone I met at camp was incredible, and great Christian girls. I would have considered UT tbh because I made real friendships and right now my heart hurts for everyone who went to Mystic (I went to a different camp that is very similar and not far away and cannot imagine going through what everyone has gone through down there), but my half sister lives in Austin and didn’t have the same opportunities I was blessed with… so going to UT with her in Austin just felt wrong. Anyway, all that to say that maybe yall shouldn’t be judging Bama girls. We hold our own just fine and plenty of us have great friend in TX in PTK.
