The thing about AXO, Alpha Gam (& KD most of all) is that they want members who will stay invested in the chapter after graduation. They want sisters who will serve as advisors, hold alumni events, help the chapter and DONATE money/time. Members with ties to Alabama (or the south) are more likely to do that. It’s not anything against the outstanding PNMs who come from OOS/OOR, but it’s just the way things go with these chapters.
