Every house has varying rules about appearance before you are initiated (rules about ponytails, wet hair, wearing makeup, clothing, etc.) and some houses are absolutely ridiculous and strict about it because they think they are looks houses. Almost every house has rules about drinking with letters on and being in bars before initiation. Some have rules about not wearing too much house merch at one time. Everyone has rules about attending chapter and other meetings, sisterhood events, philanthropy participation, behavior at parties, etc. If you don't like rules, sorority life is not for you. Also, the rules are enforced by Actives in positions of power. I don't know one house that doesn't play favorites about enforcement. Be prepared for that BS. It happens to a certain degree in EVERY house.
