Subject:
Has much changed in 25 years?

Poster Message:
I was in a sorority at Bama 25 years ago. I’m curious what’s changed and what’s still the same. Back then the top houses were Tri Delt, Alpha Chi, Kappa, Chi O, KD, Alpha Gam and Phi Mu. - The girl-next-door houses were Pi Phi, AOPi and Zeta. - The smart girl houses were Alpha Chi and Chi O. Grades also mattered a lot to Tri Delt, Alpha Gam and Phi Mu. - The mean girl houses were Kappa and KD with a little bit of Tri Delt. The rest of Tri Delt was fun. - The newest house was Gamma Phi. They improved each of the four years I was there. - DZ and Theta were very sweet, but quite a mixed group. Not necessarily a bad thing, but you couldn’t pinpoint a specific type of girl for them. - Zetas were nice. They usually took the cute girls that either had low grades or a questionable reputation from high school. - Pi Phi was the best New Row house followed by Zeta, ADPi and AOPi. For Rush: -All the Mobile girls went Kappa or Chi O -Mtn Brook went KD -Montgomery and Atlanta split between KD and Chi O -North Alabama went Alpha Gam and Pi Phi -Tennessee went Tri Delt, Alpha Chi and Chi O -Birmingham metro went to all houses, but the most to Alpha Chi followed by KD -Tuscaloosa girls split between Alpha Chi, KD and Chi O -Florida panhandle went KD and Tri Delt -Mississippi went Chi O -Texas and Louisiana both went either Kappa or Chi O I’ve read through a few posts here and it sounds like a lot of things are still the same. Thank you for letting an old alum share memories from the best four years. Roll Tide!
