I’m OOR with a 3.89 GPA, had letter of recs for each house but didn’t know any Actives personally. I was super involved in sports and clubs. I didn’t know anything about any of the houses. I had a fairly full card all week and a great week. I was dropped from most of OR after the first round (KD, KKG, DDD, XO) and from AXO after second round. I went to Pref at PM and my current NR house. I liked the house I’m in more than PM and ranked them that way. I got the bid I wanted and have had a great year. My house and friends are the best and I’m in a house that is often ranked mid on GR. The ranks on GR are crap. You will be fine. Be yourself and ignore all the tent talk. I was so happy I had no idea about any of the houses because I had no preconceived opinions. The ranks don’t mean anything if you end up in a house where you can’t find your people or don’t feel welcome.
