I would only register if you know you can afford to be Greek and plan on staying in the house you accept a bid from. No house is interested in a PNM that will go through recruitment, accept a bid, and then drop before Initiation or at the end of the semester when you realize you can't really afford it. If you can afford it, it doesn't matter when you register. Nobody knows. You will be late on getting letters of recommendation now but if you already have 8, great! I think as OOR, you are going to have a difficult time getting a bid from the top OR houses that have connections to a lot of PNMS already. However, if your GPA is high, you will have a good chance at the other houses. All houses are good here so don't stress about it.
