A PNM’s rankings do not matter until pref UNLESS they get over the maximum amount of invites back to whatever round (which is extremely rare). Each chapter has a different way to score PNMs, creating a “ranking”. These rankings are sent in and the algorithm, RFM, spits them out with invite lists for the next round. PNM rankings only really carry weight after pref - the algorithm goes down a chapter’s ranking list and selects x number of girls who also ranked that chapter as their number one. Those girls are removed from their #2 chapter’s list. It continues to go down placing girls who ranked them 1 on the final bid list. Then it may have to go back and select girls who selected them as #2 but weren’t high enough on their #1s final list to make it, etc etc
