NR retention isn’t a measure of sisterhood as much as some would like you to believe here. The OOR region girls are a little more prone to transfer schools (from being homesick as well as other factors). Also, as they mature, sorority life is less important to OOR girls, when they won’t be returning hometown after graduation with all their sisters - they make other friends; have a solid friend group; take semesters abroad, etc. And, the expense just doesn’t make sense as they find sorority life becomes less of their college experience junior and senior years.
