You are just showing your ignorance. The south has some of the last remaining old money towns - think Savanah, Charleston, parts on New Orleans. You can get an equal dose of “not from here” attitude in these areas as you can in Nantucket. Frankly, the NE old money cliques are more diluted and weak in comparison to some of these southern hold outs.
