I am from OOR. I had good grades/involvement during high school, but didn't have a connection to the south/Bama, other than my major. I had a full card of great houses for sisterhood round: AXO, Aphi, DDD, PiPhi, Theta, Kappa and DG. I really liked all of the houses I went to for sisterhood. I was sure that I was going to get dropped a ton of places, but it was so different than I expected. Yes, many houses did drop me after Philanthropy round. But I still felt like I had so many good options. And people have said it before: even if it's a newer house on campus, there are no "bad" sororities here. Don't freak out about worst case scenarios!
