Instagram follows from members in a house can mean you are on their radar. House follows can mean an active member knows you and asked the social media person to follow you, or maybe you have a sister in that sorority at another southern school so they are following you as a legacy, even though officially nationals of most sororities got rid of legacies, it can still get you noticed. None of this guarantees you a bid. I’ll add that if during rush, you don’t look like your filtered photos you will be judged for that, so go easy on the Insta filters.
