So, at your campus, PNMs are judged 100% on their character? Do you allow anyone to join who is interested? You don’t score and cut PNMs? Do you have dues? Exclusive events? Face facts: all NPC sororities (even the one you’re in, on your campus) are primarily social organizations based around the traditional white upper middle class female experience. Your organization isn’t exempt from the questionable history because, according to you, you’re “not like those other sororities.” Alabama is actually reviving interest in Greek life. The sororities at Alabama make an effort (for the most part) to judge the PNM on her character, accomplishments, academics and looks and finances. They look for well rounded women. It’s not a bad example of the greek system. There are worse ones.
