In general, the entire membership has input into recruitment selection from round to round, and decisions are made as a chapter. The recruitment team is not a dictatorship, and this small group of members does not tell the chapter how to vote or make all the decisions. They do guide and inform, but rush is a total membership effort, an enormous project that is very stressful, and the recruitment team members have essentially no life in the lead-up to and during rush. If you can lead your chapter to a good rush, well you can conquer the world. The recruitment team will make sure the process goes as smoothly as possible, compiling the recs and resumes and forms in the months preceding, planning the parties, coaching the members in rules and rushing techniques and make them practice them, matching actives with pnms during rounds, and trying to keep up membership morale during rush week (it's tense and exhausting). They compile the invitation lists for each round based on chapter voting results against the number the sorority is given to ask back. They will make the decisions on offering snap bids and make those bid offers. The recruitment team also has the responsibility and authority to make a decision, for the good of the sisterhood, to release or advance any pnm that the chapter is either on the fence about or that some important consideration comes to light about.
