The girls in the house perpetuated this by bringing in advisors and nationals. If it was a simple grievance, a quick note or tap on the shoulder versus narcing on members is the sisterly thing to do. For example, my house doesn’t allow drinking in letters, but you see girls in small ones on T-shirt Tuesdays. No biggie in my house. If a sister is getting sloppy, though, you help her out. I’ve seen sisters getting masking tape from the bartenders to cover them after one girl went through a bad breakup and wanted to drink up. See? Handled.
