Compare Alabama at 41 to CT which is number 2 in the country. For the Alabama folks that are math deficient 2 is a better score by far than 41! The state, which has a tradition of investing in education, including the Connecticut Technical High School System, is home to Yale University. Makes zero sense for any national merit winner to go to bama over Yale. None, unless she was afraid she would be academically buried. Calling bs on this entire story!
