I had 4 houses for sisterhood. The houses I ranked 3rd and 4th invited me for pref. I withdrew after the parties. Didn't feel any real connection at all. I felt sorry for my self all day lol. Bid day around 630 am I got a call from my 2nd ranked house offering me a bid. That's all I know about it. So I went and opened my bid card with everyone else, ran to my house with everyone else. Only a few people in my rho chi group, my roommates and very few other people knew I withdrew/where I went for pref. Honestly no one really ever brought it up and no one in my PC talked about being "snapped" tho I know I wasn't the only one. It absolutely isn't a rush strategy. I was on the fence about going Greek to begin with. A know a girl who basically did the same thing but didn't get a snap and complained all year about being bored and missing out. If you really want to be in a sorority just join whichever one invites you to join.
