I certainly hope so. Her decision to share age old secrets in retaliation to the unrelated issue of her organization’s post regarding Roe vs. Wade made her appear immature and impulsive. A better approach would have been to address her concerns directly, citing evidence and suggestions for a broader viewpoint. Her post did nothing to address the actual issue or better the interests of women who are at the very root of the issue. In fact, it did the very opposite, serving to tear down a group of women who should be a source of support. If they weren’t, that’s a separate issue and begs the question of what actions she took for improvement. I’m unsure what graduate degree she is pursuing; however, I hope it isn’t law, medicine, education, or any other field where confidentiality is paramount. Future employers should consider her a liability with little understanding of how to be an effective and insightful agent of change. I’m not a chi o, but I wouldn’t hire her.
