After you join a sorority, you are still going to be judged by everyone you meet based on how you act and treat others. Your letters won't influence anyone in real life; it's still all up to you. Be decent and kind to everyone, keep up your grades, and understand that people will only care about you as an individual, not that you are an XYZ member.
