"Quality girls" also pass up on the "top houses." I try to use the term "Top Houses" with a grain of salt. I am from out of state - didn't know anyone. I came with a high GPA, participated in competitive sports, told I am pretty, etc. I was recruited actively by these houses. At each house - the president would talk to me in another room and was given lots of attention. It was flattering. I ended up ranking my favorite houses "mid houses" because that is where I felt most comfortable. My pref was a top and mid house. I listed the mid as my #1 and that is what I got and couldn't be happier.
