The Alabama KDs just want to pretend they are a little bit better than everyone else, that’s why there are the two alum groups in B’ham. But still doesn’t splain why Mtn Brook girls are running over to Vestavia Country Club to get themselves presented at Poinsettia. Back in 1968, the Mrs. Dr. Gus Prosch established Poinsettia Ball for Vestavia girls, she lived in Vestavia. High and mighty brookies then think they are too good for anyone from Vestavia after worming their way into a presentation. And back around 1968, Mtn Brook elected to have their city boundaries “frozen” because they would not integrate their school system. All the other suburbs integrated and were allowed to expand their cities. That’s why MB is now landlocked by Homewood, Leeds, and Vestavia. And of course, by Birmingham itself on the north and east side. So tell me, who is really “better”?
